What to do if you clicked on a phishing link

This is the most common mistake — and it can happen to anyone.

If you clicked on a phishing link, do this:

✔ 1. Do not enter any information

If you saw the form but didn't fill it out, probably nothing happened.

✔ **2. Did you fill in data?

Act now:**

• Immediately change the password of the account you entered.

• Also change passwords of accounts where you used the same password.

• Enable 2FA.

• Check for unknown login attempts.

✔ 3. Take a screenshot of the phishing page (Optional)

This can help with a report or investigation.

✔ 4. Report the phishing attempt

This can be done at:

• your bank

• the organization that was imitated

• politie.nl → Internet Fraud Reporting Center

✔ 5. When should you clean up your laptop?

Click ≠ virus.
But when downloading or installing files → scan with antivirus.
