What a strong password is (and what isn't)

Strong passwords don't have to be complicated. In fact, long, simple passphrases are often better than short, complex combinations.

What does work:

• Long passphrases such as:
  MyDogLikesToEatCarrots!
  I'mCrazyAboutCoffee2025

• Combinations of words that have nothing to do with each other:
  BikeMoonTulip!94

What doesn't work:

• Short words such as: hello , password , swaptop

• Something that has to do with you:

  • Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Street name

• Simple variations:

  • Welcome1!

  • Qwerty123

Easy to remember, hard to guess

Use a phrase or combination of words that you can easily remember but others could never guess.
